When people pray whether, believer or non-believers, the word please, sorry, thank you, and hallelujah are most commonly used. There are different types of prayers, like a prayer of thanksgiving, or a prayer of petition.
Prayer is a way of communicating to God or, for some, the saints. Religions may be different, but, when it comes to prayer, they are practically the same. There are eight basic types of prayer: adoration or worship, expiation or contrition, love, supplication or petition, thanksgiving or praise, intercession, faith, and agreement. People all across the world pray using one of the 8 methods to speak to God.
When someone is praying to God in worship ,this is called adoration. The person tells God how much he or she depends on him. The two most popular types of prayer are expiation (asking for forgiveness) and petition (asking God for something, whether spiritual or worldly possessions). Popular types of prayer for believers are agreement (a group of people come together and pray for a specific thing and believe it will happen), faith (when a person believes in the word of God and knows that his word must come to pass), thanksgiving (thanking God for the things he has done), intercession (when a person prays to God for another), and love (when a person speaks to God about how much they love him).
Prayer is a universal way of speaking to God. Believers live their life speaking about God's grace and tell people to trust and obey in God because he is good. Everyone prays for different reasons, whether it’s just to say thank you for waking me up this morning in my right mind or to bring someone to God.
