How do you pray? This seems like a very personal question, but are there some things that you can do that will make your prayer more meaningful? For some, praying is as easy as blinking - they do it without any thought. For others, this can be a more difficult process that requires some thought.
Try some of these techniques if you want to improve your quality of prayer time.
First, find a place to pray where you are alone. This should be somewhere free from daily distractions, such as the ringing of the phone or the boss that needs immediate attention. Turn off your cell phone, and tell your family that you need some personal time and utilize it.
Second, try to pray at the same time every day. This should be just like any other appointment that you would make. Write it down on your calendar and be sure not to reschedule this one.
Third, pray out loud. Many people pray under their breath or in their head and still maintain the proper level of thought and respect that they want when talking to the Creator, but some people need to talk out loud to help keep their focus. Maybe you should use the time that you have commuting to and from work to pray.
There are many other things that you can do to make your prayer time more meaningful. Try to find the methods that work best for you.
